Thatchers Treehouse started as a way to keep friends and family informed of Thatcher's open heart surgery, progress and struggles with Tetralogy of Fallot, a congenital heart defect, or CHD. We are happy to report that he is doing very well and will continue to post about his medical situations when they arise. Thanks for coming to the Treehouse!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I am so grateful for the wonderful family and friends that we have.
We are so lucky to be in such good health!
To quote the funniest family statements this year....
"I am thankful for my right arm." Bremen
"I am thankful for my kidneys." Ashley
"Bon Appetite!" Sawyer

What is it with the grandsons and Thanksgiving this year?
Only one kidney, a blown out knee, a bad heart, a broken right arm.... people, we need to gain control!!!

I love all of you and thanks for all your support!

Thatcher had a great Thanksgiving!!
No colic whatsoever! He giggled a lot at dinner and all the way home for my sisters.
Today, however, he is paying for it!! Sooooo tired today! I hope he wakes up in time for family pix today!!

Trick or Treat Street

Had so much fun this year. Wasnt as crazy as last year, had more time to talk to the kids and enjoy their costumes, and the break from Thatch's colic! (My poor mom!)
Anyway, here is Pirate Dall with Pirate Jeff and Pirate Jas.
And my little skeleton Sawyer, he looks like he belongs as a decoration!
And my headless horseman, standing by the headless horseman.

Everyting is Good!

Thatcher is by far the healthiest CHD baby I know. He eats well, sleeps well, and is starting to giggle a lot. Even in his sleep!
Our next appointment is not until December 6th.
He will not receive his sedated ekg at this time. I have opted out for that and will only be allowing them to do it for labs for his surgery. Unless something changes of course.
He continues to be a colicy baby. Changed his formula to the "Solid Gold" Nutramigen. Ugh. The price alone is enough to put us in the poor house!
We continue to deal with new issues every day- as does every family.
But I am blessed with a wonderful husband and marriage and great kids.
I would not advise anyone to rent Bridge to Terabithia.
Cried my eyes out at the end.
Anyway, all is well for now!
Thanks for checking in!
